Welcome

Hello and welcome to my website!

I am a sociologist by training and I teach, research and write about immigrant experiences. Through qualitative methodologies, my work examines the migration and incorporation aspect of immigrants from Latin America with a specific focus on children and the elderly.

I earned my doctorate and masters in sociology from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2012. I received my bachelors in sociology with a minor in Chicano/a Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I am also a proud Long Beach City College (LBCC) alumni. Currently, I am a professor at Arizona State University.

In this website you will learn more about my academic scholarship, my approach to teaching, as well as my philanthropic project involving repujado art, migration, and youth.

Sincerely,

Dr. Estrada
